Pathways to Open Access
In order to make informed decisions about which open access endeavors to pursue at scale, the UC Libraries recently prepared the Pathways to OA toolkit, analyzing various models for achieving open access, and actionable strategies to implement each approach. This analysis was endorsed by the UC Council of University Librarians (CoUL) on February 27, 2018, and was prepared by a working group including Rachael Samberg, UCB (Chair); Michael Wolfe, UCD; Kerry Scott, UCSC; Anneliese Taylor, UCSF; Donald Barclay, UCM; Martha Hruska, UCSD; Jennifer Chan, UCLA; and Ivy Anderson, CDL.
The toolkit is intended to assist campus libraries and the California Digital Library with individual and collective decision-making to achieve large-scale transitions to OA.
For more info on the toolkit see UC Berkeley Library News and UC Davis Library News.
