UCI Archivist Appointed to International Council

Kelly Spring, Archivist for Special Collections at UC Irvine, has been appointed to The International Council on Archives Programme Commission Expert Group on Managing Digital and Physical Records (ICA POC EGMDPR). Led by Alison North, an international information governance consultant based in the United Kingdom, the new group will work to clearly define what is meant by Managing Digital and Physical Records and will devise a direction for the continuation of developing standards, best practice, education, and training in the field of records and information management. The EGMDPR was created in early 2017 by the merging of the Expert Group on Records Management (RMEG) and the Expert Group on Digital Records (RMEG). (Via the UCI Staff News)
