UC Librarians on OA2020

Rachael Samberg (UCB), Richard A. Schneider (UCSF), Anneliese Taylor (UCSF), and Michael Wolfe (UCD) published the article What’s behind OA2020? in the February 2018 issue of C&RL News. The article clarifies why four UC campuses chose to endorse Open Access 2020, "an international effort to convert the existing corpus of scholarly journals from subscription-based access to OA." The article explains the movement's "great promise for the broader OA movement" and addresses misconceptions and misunderstandings about what OA2020 represents.
