UCI Archivist to Chair SNAC Communications Group
In December 2016, at the third meeting of the Social Networks and Archival Context (SNAC) Cooperative in Washington D.C., a new working group was formed to support communications. Kelly Spring will chair the newly formed Communications Group and, working with team members, be responsible for gathering and disseminating monthly updates from each of the working groups to the entire Cooperative. In this role she will also serve on the Operations Committee, which will enable further information sharing from the top level down.
Hosted by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the SNAC Cooperative is working to provide a tool for archivists, librarians, and scholars to jointly maintain contextual information about the people, corporate bodies and families documented in archival collections. Check out the prototype tool as well as the test site for the user interface.
