LAUC B 2017 - Focus on the Visual: Digital Humanities and Libraries

The LAUC-B 2017 Conference “Focus on the Visual: Digital Humanities and Libraries” will explore how libraries promote, support, and provide access to digital humanities scholarship and tools in disciplines with a strong visual focus. Drawing from the work of scholars and librarians in art practice, art history, architecture, archaeology and other highly visual areas, the program will include presentations and discussions highlighting how libraries and other academic units support scholarship efforts in visual digital humanities. Speakers will discuss their work in this growing area, including methodologies, tools, and new technologies, with an emphasis on the role of information professionals in this context.
